Florence MARGENAT has been a lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2007.
She practiced commercial law (including market practices and consumer protection) for several years, before specializing in intellectual property rights. In 2017, she was authorized by the Brussels Bar to hold the title of specialist in intellectual property rights, media law and information and communication technology law (ICT), which she has been practising on a daily basis for many years, both on a contractual and a litigation level, as well as in the support of her clients.Florence joined INTAKT in 2019.
She is developing her intellectual property practice in a wide range of sectors: music, audiovisual, literature, cultural sector, advertising, fashion, web, industry, etc. Florence also deals with cases relating to copyright taxation and privacy (including personal data protection). Since 2013, she has also been a third-party decision-maker at the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (CEPANI) for disputes relating to “.be” domain names.
Florence holds a law degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a master’s degree in intellectual property rights and new technologies from the KUL (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) – HUB/EHSAL. She also started a training course to become a trainer at the Institute of Communication of the Brussels Bar (ICBB).
